Physiotherapy

Chartered Physiotherapists are medically trained to diagnose and treat a wide range of physical problems. Treatment is designed for each individual problem to reduce pain, maximise movement and function. Treatment techniques include manual mobilisation and manipulation, specific soft tissue techniques, acupuncture and electrotherapy. Physiotherapy also involves specific exercises designed to speed up recovery and prevent pain returning.

Chartered Physiotherapists are autonomous clinicians, this means that you can be seen by us without visiting your GP first. At your first consultation you will be asked various questions to gain a history of your condition. During the assessment you will need to provide information regarding your medical history and any medication you are taking. A physical assessment will also take place to reach a diagnosis.

If your problem cannot be helped with Physiotherapy we will refer you to an appropriate Doctor or Consultant.

Sports Protein Supplements: Replenishing Muscle Fibre

For keen and active sports enthusiasts, protein should be an  important part of your diet, to help build and  repair muscles after strenuous exercise.

Some choose to consume a protein powder supplement before and after their workout, or a protein shake whilst on the go.

What ever the sports supplement you use, protein in its many forms (amino acids) is a vital part of replacing tissue and helps heal your muscles faster.
